DeVANS Modern Breweries has expanded its premium spirits portfolio with the launch of Gingalalahu, an Indian Craft Dry Gin, marking its entry into India's growing craft gin segment. The company, known for GianChand Single Malt Whisky, said the gin is distilled in small batches of 200 litres using nine botanicals and bottled at 42.8 percent ABV.

According to DeVANS Modern Breweries, Gingalalahu follows a classic dry gin style without artificial flavourings or added sweeteners, with its flavour derived entirely from natural botanicals and spices.

Prem Dewan, Chairman and Managing Director of DeVANS Modern Breweries Limited, said the launch reflected the company's focus on craftsmanship, authenticity and premium-quality spirits while responding to growing consumer demand for premium craft beverages.

Ahead of its commercial launch, Gingalalahu received a Gold Medal at the Global Gin Masters 2025 in the Super Premium category, along with Silver Medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2026, the International Wine & Spirit Competition 2026 and the World Gin Awards 2026.

Gin expert Geraldine Coates described the spirit as a classic-style gin with balanced juniper, citrus and spice notes, a smooth mouthfeel and a clean finish.

With Gingalalahu, DeVANS aims to strengthen its presence in India's premium alcoholic beverages market while expanding into the fast-growing craft gin category.
