Bapuna Alcobrew has expanded its premium spirits portfolio with the launch of The Banjara Trail – Traveller's Edition, Western Ghats, the second expression under its Banjara Trail series. The limited-edition gin has been introduced as a regional interpretation of the brand's premium gin range, featuring orange, hibiscus and kokum to create a lighter and more floral profile than the original Chambal Indian Dry Gin. Bottled at 42.8 percent ABV in a 750ml format, the new release continues the company's strategy of celebrating India's diverse botanical heritage through small-batch expressions.

According to Bapuna Alcobrew, the Banjara Trail series has been conceived to showcase different regions of India by incorporating locally inspired botanicals and flavour profiles while preserving the brand's original distillation process. The company stated that the Western Ghats edition draws inspiration from one of India's richest biodiversity regions, with orange, hibiscus and kokum selected to reflect the area's distinctive botanical character.

The gin is being produced at the company's Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, distillery, where the Bapuna family has been distilling spirits since 1987. Bapuna Alcobrew noted that it produces its own triple-distilled fine grain spirit before redistilling it with carefully selected botanicals. The company also stated that Chambal Indian Dry Gin, positioned as Madhya Pradesh's first premium gin, was inspired by the Chambal Valley and features botanicals including juniper, wild cinnamon bark, black and green cardamom, lemon peel and almond.

Bapuna Alcobrew further stated that the Traveller's Edition series represents its long-term vision of creating region-inspired premium spirits that reflect India's geographical and botanical diversity. The company indicated that additional editions inspired by other parts of the country are planned as the series expands, with each expression intended to tell a unique regional story through indigenous flavours.

Commenting on the launch, Pervez Bapuna, Chief Operating Officer of Bapuna Alcobrew, said that the company's objective in creating its premium spirits portfolio was to develop world-class expressions rooted in India. He noted that Chambal Indian Dry Gin had introduced consumers to a spirit inspired by central India and added that the Banjara Trail series had been created to explore other regions of the country through distinctive regional botanicals and flavours. He further stated that the Western Ghats Edition represented the next chapter in that journey, while emphasising that many more Indian regions remain to be explored through future releases.

The launch also reflects Bapuna Alcobrew's continued focus on strengthening its premium portfolio. In addition to marketing its own brands, the company manufactures spirits for several leading beverage companies, including Pernod Ricard India, Radico Khaitan, Mohan Meakin and Bacardi.
