KOFUKU has expanded its Mumbai presence with the opening of a new restaurant in Juhu, strengthening its footprint in one of the city's prominent dining destinations. The launch supports the brand's objective of making authentic Japanese cuisine more accessible beyond luxury hotels and premium dining establishments. KOFUKU currently operates across Mumbai, Delhi, Gurugram, Goa and Leh.
The Juhu outlet has been designed to offer an immersive Japanese dining experience through a combination of Horigotatsu-style seating, Zashiki seating with tatami mats and conventional table seating. The menu features signature dishes including "Oh My God" Sushi, Buta no Shoga Yaki, Wafu Steak Carpaccio, Yakitori and Prawn Tempura. Vegan and gluten-free options are also available, with selected dishes customisable to suit dietary requirements.
The beverage programme includes cocktails prepared using Japanese ingredients such as sake, umeshu and wasabi, alongside traditional teas including Sencha and Matcha. Founder Morup Namgyal stated that the expansion continues to be guided by the Japanese philosophy of Omotenashi, with the Juhu restaurant created to deliver authentic cuisine alongside warm hospitality, cultural authenticity and attention to detail. The opening marks another step in KOFUKU's ongoing expansion across India.
