Shangri-La Bengaluru is presenting a limited-time Punjabi culinary showcase at Ssaffron by welcoming renowned Punjabi chef Manpreet Singh, popularly known as Chef Tikka Singh. The showcase is being organised from July 17 to July 26, 2026, and is centred on the culinary traditions of Undivided Punjab, Peshawar and the North-West Frontier. Guests are being offered two distinct dining experiences through an extensive à la carte menu and a specially curated menu created by the visiting chef. Lunch and dinner services are being made available throughout the festival.

A diverse range of regional dishes is being introduced to highlight the depth of Punjabi cuisine. Shangri-La Bengaluru stated that the à la carte menu has been designed to feature traditional recipes prepared using regional cooking techniques. Tandoor specialities including Zafraani Tandoori Jheenge, prepared with saffron and frontier spices, and Bhatti Di Chaampan, featuring slow-cooked lamb chops finished over live embers, have been included alongside vegetarian offerings such as Kundey Di Chutney Wala Paneer Tikka.

Classic Punjabi comfort food is also being showcased through a selection of signature main courses. Shangri-La Bengaluru stated that Taxaali Taar Korma and Dhabey Wali Maah Chholeyan Di Dal have been included to reflect flavours associated with traditional Punjabi kitchens. The dining experience is being completed with heritage-inspired desserts including Rau Di Kheer and Khoye Wali Kulfi.

An immersive tasting experience has also been developed by Chef Tikka Singh through a carefully planned multi-course menu. According to Shangri-La Bengaluru, the meal has been structured to begin with Makhan Malai Murgh Boti or Bhein Te Moongphali Di Tikki before progressing to Hare Chane Te Adrak Da Ras. Main courses including Tawe Anari Jheenga Masala and Tari Wala Kukkad are being paired with Murgh Tikke Da Pulao, Khameeri Khas-Khas Naan and Besan Wali Roti. The experience is being concluded with Gud Te Daliye Da Kadah.

The celebrations are also being extended beyond Ssaffron. Shangri-La Bengaluru confirmed that Chef Tikka Singh will curate the Indian cuisine section at b Café's Sunday Brunch on July 19, 2026, allowing brunch diners to sample several of his signature creations within the hotel's weekend dining experience.

The showcase has been designed to provide diners with an opportunity to experience regional flavours that reflect the culinary heritage of Punjab. Through both individual dishes and a structured chef-led menu, the event is intended to celebrate traditional recipes, authentic cooking methods and the cultural legacy of one of the Indian subcontinent's most influential regional cuisines.
