Linking House has opened in Santacruz West, Mumbai, as a new all-day social culinary house built around food, coffee, cocktails and community. Founded by hospitality entrepreneurs Riya Goon and Vivek Chandaliya, the 4,000 sq. ft. destination on Linking Road has been designed to evolve through the day, moving from breakfast and work meetings to lunch, high tea, dinner and late-night drinks.

Located between Bandra and Juhu, the concept has been shaped around the idea of linking people, places and different moments of the day. This philosophy is reflected through a recurring bird motif, inspired by the movement and migration of birds before they gather and settle together. The 120-seat venue, with an overall capacity of approximately 250 guests, follows the philosophy of “Fluidity in Spirit. Fire in Craft.”

The day begins at 8 AM with coffee, breakfast and offerings from the in-house bakery, followed by lunch from noon and high tea between 4 PM and 7 PM. From 7 PM onwards, the focus shifts to dinner, cocktails and sharing plates, with the venue remaining open until 1:30 AM.

Led by Chef Satish Rawat and Chef Venkatesh Swamy, the food programme brings together Eastern, Mediterranean and Latin culinary influences. Charcoal, live flame and searing iron are used across the kitchen, while baking, air-frying and poaching are prioritised over conventional deep-frying. The menu gives equal space to vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, with highlights including Turkish Eggs, Cottage Cheese Tonkatsu Sando, Curry Leaf Cottage Cheese, Mojo Fish Skewers, BBQ Prawns with Apple Cucumber Salsa, Smoked Chicken Al Faham, Spicy Tuna Roll, Sumatra Coconut Curry and Lamb Rendang Curry. The in-house bakery complements the menu with croissants, muffins, tarts and entremets.

The evening beverage experience is anchored by “On the Wings of Migration,” a cocktail programme led by Atul Mundaye of Craft & Mix Hospitality. Inspired by migratory birds travelling across India, the menu traces a journey from the North East and Himalayan foothills towards the Konkan coast and Goa, incorporating ingredients such as native citrus, forest herbs, tropical fruits, kokum and cashew apple. Signature cocktails include Bat Shit Crazy, Bad Birdieeee, Naga Hill Picante and Tik Tik Boom, alongside drinks such as Garden Spritz, Sunset at Juhu Beach and Pineapple Kaffir Cooler.

Designed by Maulik Shah and Darshan Rawal, the interiors transition from a bright daytime setting to a warmer, more intimate evening environment. Glass frontage, social seating, geometric details, changing lighting and subtle bird references shape the space, while a pool table, bookshelves and board games add to its community-led approach.

Linking House also plans to host workshops, book clubs, cultural collaborations and creative gatherings. Karaoke, sip-and-paint evenings, coffee runs, coffee raves, Sufi nights, retro nights and brunches are part of its programming, positioning the venue as a social destination that moves naturally from morning coffee to late-night gatherings.
