Bang Bang! Noodle has expanded its presence in Mumbai with the opening of a new outlet in Bandra, marking the brand's second location. Founded by Chef Rahul Punjabi, the restaurant has built its identity around authentic Ma La and Sichuan cuisine, with the latest outlet introducing a larger dining format and an expanded menu shaped by the chef's culinary travels across China's Sichuan province.
The Bandra opening represents the next phase of the brand's growth, incorporating insights gained since its debut. According to the company, the menu reflects Chef Rahul Punjabi's research in Chengdu, Chongqing, and Leshan, where he studied regional cooking techniques and traditional preparations of noodles and dumplings.
Among the new dishes is La Zi Ji, a Sichuan-style preparation featuring bone-in chicken tossed with dried chillies and Sichuan peppercorns. The expanded menu also includes Tian Shui Mian, a noodle dish made with soy caramel and sesame powder, hand-shaped Cat's Ear Noodles, and Chao Shou Dumplings produced using a custom-built machine developed specifically for the Bandra kitchen.
The restaurant continues to emphasise ingredient sourcing as part of its offering. It uses Crying Tiger Sichuan peppercorns imported from China, while its noodles are prepared using organically certified flour sourced from Italy for consistent milling quality.
Rahul Punjabi, Chef and Founder, said, "We are so excited to finally bring Bang Bang! Noodle to Bandra. This outlet represents everything we have learned and everything we love about Sichuan food, and we cannot wait for our patrons to experience it."
The interiors of the new outlet have been designed by Sonu Punjabi, former interior designer and mother of Chef Rahul Punjabi. The space features Asian-inspired design elements including a Zen garden, a four-foot meditating Buddha, lantern installations, and floor-to-ceiling glass windows intended to create an open and tranquil dining atmosphere.
The Bandra restaurant also marks the return of the brand's Wall of Fame initiative, first introduced at its Goregaon outlet. The programme showcases Polaroid photographs of repeat guests, reinforcing the restaurant's focus on building long-term customer engagement and community.
With its second Mumbai location, Bang Bang! Noodle continues to strengthen its position in the city's competitive dining landscape while maintaining its focus on regional Sichuan flavours, specialised noodle dishes, and ingredient-led cooking.
