Michelin Bib Gourmand-recognised Thai restaurant Baan Phadthai is expanding its presence in India with the opening of its first Hyderabad outlet at Salarpuria Sattva Knowledge City in Hitech City. Hyderabad is being introduced as the home of the city's first Michelin-recognised Thai dining destination through the brand's latest expansion. The opening is being positioned as the next phase of growth following the success of the restaurant's Bengaluru outlets, while authentic Thai cuisine is being made available to a wider audience.

The restaurant was founded in Bangkok in 2016 by Frédéric Meyer, and Michelin Guide Bangkok Bib Gourmand recognition has been awarded to the brand every year since 2018. According to the company, the distinction has been earned for consistently serving authentic Thai cuisine at accessible prices. By preserving traditional recipes while maintaining affordability, the restaurant's reputation has been strengthened both in Thailand and internationally.

An immersive dining environment has been created through interiors inspired by Bangkok's traditional shophouses. Timber accents, vintage décor, vibrant artwork and the signature blue-and-orange colour palette have been incorporated to reflect the character of the brand's original restaurant. Seating for 64 guests has been provided within the Hyderabad outlet.

The culinary offering has been centred on the restaurant's signature Phad Thai, which is prepared using premium rice noodles and an exclusive 18-ingredient sauce. Classic Thai dishes, including Gai Tawt, Satay, Poh Pia Tawt, Tom Yum Kaichiau and Esaan-style Laab, have also been included. A concise selection of 25 dishes has been curated, while vegetarian options and vegan fish sauce alternatives have also been made available.

Additional exclusivity has been introduced through eight dishes created specifically for the Hyderabad restaurant. Yum Makuer, Gai Yang Vichianburi, Rice Sets featuring Gaeng Karee and Gaeng Phet, and Kram Plam Pad Nam Pla have been added to differentiate the outlet from the brand's existing locations. The beverage programme has been complemented with Thai-inspired mocktails such as Jeed Jaad, Milo Dino, Som Tum, Cha Cha and Prik Gleua, alongside traditional drinks including Cha Yen and Cha Manao.

With the Hyderabad opening, Baan Phadthai's expansion in India has been further strengthened. Authentic Thai flavours, heritage-inspired interiors and Michelin-recognised culinary standards have been brought together to deliver a dining experience rooted in Bangkok's food culture.
