Bengaluru’s evolving dessert landscape welcomes Friyo, a new artisanal frozen Greek yogurt and açaí soft-serve bar in Indiranagar. Founded by Debasis Das and Subhasmita Panigrahi, the brand brings a fresh interpretation of the globally popular frozen yogurt and açaí experience, combining quality ingredients, in-house preparation and creative flavour combinations. With an emphasis on customisation, Friyo offers a contemporary take on the nostalgic frozen yogurt trend.

At the heart of Friyo’s menu is frozen Greek yogurt, prepared in-house in small batches using real Greek yogurt instead of premixes. The result is a creamy, smooth soft-serve with the characteristic tang of Greek yogurt, available in classic and chocolate variants, with strawberry set to be introduced soon. Alongside this, açaí is offered as a naturally vegan, berry-forward soft-serve, moving beyond its familiar smoothie bowl presentation. The Mixed Swirl combines both bases, bringing together the creamy richness of Greek yogurt and the fruity character of açaí.

The menu features a range of signature dessert cups developed around distinct flavour combinations. Oops All Biscoff combines creamy and crunchy textures with Biscoff, while Just Like Snickers brings together chocolate, caramel and peanuts. Cherry on Top features chocolate, hot fudge, cherries and cookie crumble, while Glow Cup offers a refreshing combination of granola, banana, berries and nut butter. These creations are complemented by a Build Your Own experience, allowing customers to personalise their desserts through a toppings bar featuring chocolate fudge sauce, strawberry compote, toasted almond flakes, dark chocolate crumble and choco-hazelnut crunch, with most accompaniments prepared in-house.

According to Debasis Das, Co-Founder of Friyo, the concept was inspired by the founders’ experiences of discovering innovative frozen yogurt and açaí destinations during their travels. Subhasmita Panigrahi, Co-Founder of Friyo, further noted that the toppings and signature combinations had been developed to balance flavours and textures while encouraging customers to experiment with their own creations.

With desserts priced between INR 250 and INR 450 per person, Friyo offers a new destination for casual dessert outings, post-dinner treats and spontaneous indulgences. Through small-batch preparation, thoughtfully developed recipes and an interactive dessert experience, the brand aims to establish a distinctive presence in Bengaluru’s growing dessert culture.
