Linking House is now open in Santacruz West, Mumbai, as an all-day social culinary house designed around food, drinks and community. Founded by hospitality entrepreneurs Riya Goon and Vivek Chandaliya, the venue is located on Linking Road between Bandra and Juhu and is built around the idea of connecting people, places and different moments of the day. Coffee, breakfast, lunch, high tea, dinner and cocktails are being brought together within a single destination that changes naturally from morning to late night.

A day-to-night format has been created to serve different occasions throughout the day. Breakfast, coffee, open sandwiches and bakery offerings are served from 8 am, followed by lunch from noon and a dedicated high-tea programme between 4 pm and 7 pm. Dinner, sharing plates and cocktails are served thereafter until 1:30 am. Riya Goon and Vivek Chandaliya, founders of Linking House, said, “Linking House is built around that simple instinct to come together.”

The food programme, led by Chef Satish Rawat and Chef Venkatesh Swamy, has been developed around Eastern, Mediterranean and Latin culinary influences. Fire-led techniques including charcoal grilling, live flame and searing are being used, while baking, air-frying and poaching are being preferred over conventional deep-frying. Herbs grown in the venue's hydroponic garden are also incorporated when available, with equal emphasis being placed on vegetarian and non-vegetarian offerings.

The menu spans breakfast plates, sandwiches, sushi, grills, curries, rice bowls and bakery selections. Highlights include Turkish Eggs, Cottage Cheese Tonkatsu Sando, Curry Leaf Cottage Cheese, Mojo Fish Skewers, Smoked Chicken Al Faham, Spicy Tuna Roll and Truffled Purple Sweet Potato Uramaki. Sumatra Coconut Curry and Lamb Rendang Curry are offered among the larger plates, while croissants, muffins, tarts, cakes and entremets are served through the in-house bakery.

The cocktail programme, On the Wings of Migration, has been inspired by migratory birds and their journeys across India. Led by Atul Mundaye of Craft & Mix Hospitality, the menu incorporates regional ingredients including native citrus, herbs, spices, tropical fruits, kokum and cashew apple. Techniques such as clarification, carbonation, fermentation, infusion, fat-washing and distillation are being used to translate these ingredients into contemporary cocktails.

Spread across 4,000 sq. ft., Linking House has seating for 120 guests and an overall capacity of approximately 250. Designed by Maulik Shah and Darshan Rawal, the interiors transition from brighter daytime surroundings to warmer evening settings through changing light, social seating and a subtle bird motif. A pool table, bookshelves and board games have also been incorporated, while workshops, book clubs, cultural collaborations, karaoke, coffee-focused events, Sufi nights, retro evenings and brunches are planned as part of the venue's community programming.
