The Filter Coffee has opened its tenth Bengaluru outlet in Arekere, near BTM 6th Stage and Hulimavu. Opened on August 1 on Sir M. Visvesvaraya Road, the 70-seater restaurant marks the brand’s return to a neighbourhood that was part of its early journey.
The new outlet offers The Filter Coffee’s signature South Indian menu, including dosas, idlis, traditional banana leaf meals and filter coffee. Breakfast is available throughout the day, while snacks are served from 4 pm. The restaurant operates from 7 am to 10:30 pm, catering to breakfast, lunch, evening and dinner dining.
Sankrit Iyer, Co-founder of The Filter Coffee, said the Arekere community had played an important role in the brand’s early growth. He stated that the new restaurant was being opened to give customers a dedicated space to experience its food, coffee and hospitality.
The expansion has been described as part of a measured growth strategy. Avinit Bagri, Co-founder of The Filter Coffee, said locations were selected based on established customer relationships and long-term potential, making Arekere a natural addition to the brand’s network.
The opening further strengthens The Filter Coffee’s presence across South Bengaluru, following its outlets in neighbourhoods such as Jayanagar. The new restaurant is being positioned as a relaxed everyday dining destination focused on traditional South Indian food and familiar flavours.
