Nayvedyam has expanded Bengaluru's vegetarian dining landscape with the launch of its new pure-vegetarian restaurant, offering a menu inspired by traditional South Indian recipes. The restaurant was inaugurated by storyteller, filmmaker and actor Sudhanshu Rai, who also sampled several signature dishes during the opening.

Derived from the Sanskrit word Naivedyam, which signifies a sacred food offering, the restaurant has been conceptualised around authentic South Indian culinary traditions. The menu features classic favourites including dosas, idlis, sambhar, chutneys and regional thalis, with an emphasis on fresh ingredients and time-honoured cooking methods.

Among the signature offerings are the Ghee Pudi Masala Dosa, Temple Ghee Thatte Idli and a variety of regional South Indian thalis designed to showcase the diversity of the cuisine.

Speaking at the launch, Saurabh Mehra, Founder of Nayvedyam, said the restaurant aims to become Bengaluru's preferred destination for authentic South Indian food by combining traditional recipes with warm hospitality. He added that the association with Sudhanshu Rai reflects the brand's focus on creating meaningful dining experiences rooted in culture and tradition.

While South Indian cuisine remains the restaurant's core focus, Nayvedyam has also introduced a wider selection of vegetarian dishes to cater to diverse preferences. The extended menu includes North Indian curries, dals and Indian breads, alongside Indo-Chinese favourites such as Gobi Manchurian, Veg Hakka Noodles and Fried Rice.

With its traditional culinary approach and broader vegetarian offerings, Nayvedyam aims to appeal to diners seeking authentic regional flavours as well as a wider range of vegetarian options in Bengaluru.
