Pincode by Chef Kunal Kapur and LICK – Lavonne Ice Cream Kitchen have collaborated for the latest edition of Sweet Detours, a limited-time initiative that highlights India's lesser-known dessert traditions. The newest collaboration focuses on the flavours of Mizoram and introduces diners in Bengaluru to a contemporary interpretation of the traditional dessert Koat Pitha.
Prepared using banana and rice flour, Koat Pitha has been reimagined as a plated dessert featuring a crisp, churro-inspired preparation paired with a bespoke artisanal ice cream by LICK. Inspired by the original dessert, the ice cream incorporates flavours of rice, jaggery, toasted rice and sesame, bringing together warm, crisp textures with a creamy accompaniment.
The collaboration combines Pincode's focus on showcasing India's regional culinary heritage with LICK's expertise in crafting small-batch artisanal ice creams inspired by traditional flavours. Together, the two brands aim to present regional recipes in a contemporary format while retaining their original inspiration.
The limited-time dessert will be available exclusively at Pincode by Chef Kunal Kapur, 1 MG Mall, Bengaluru, from July 25 to August 31, 2026
